Time: 5:30pm - 7:30pm*.  Mainly Mondays & Wednesdays (practice dates below), beginning March 19.
Dates: 3/19, 3/20, 3/25, 3/27, 4/3, 4/8, 4/10, 4/15, 4/19, 4/23, 4/24, 4/29, 5/1, 5/6, 5/8, 5/13, 5/14, 5/20, 5/22, 5/29
Location: Francis Scott Key High School
*practices may end before 7:30pm on certain days due to sunlight.

Notes Concerning Registration:

1.  Standard Registration for Spring 2023 is for ages 6 years old through Middle School.
2.  **Discounts provided to households with multiple athletes to register.
3.  High School registration (Post Season Competition Season) is separate and more information will follow.

**Discounts are not displayed/calculated until the final phase of the check out during online registration

Equipment Needed
1.  Running shoes - recommend shoes that are worn solely for running.  Track spikes may be encourage for experienced athletes.
2.  Appropriate running wear - Shorts for hot weather and warmer clothing for cold including hat, gloves, etc.  For meets, clothing can be worn under the uniform.
3.  Water bottle - preferably labeled with name.
4.  Uniform - Included in registration to use but must be returned at the end of the season.


Practices
1.  Practices will begin at 5:30pm each day.  An overview about the program will be presented on the first practice date, and will allow the opportunity to meet the coaches while learning about the FSK Jr. Eagles Running Program.  This will also be a workout for athletes.
2.  All participants will receive a uniform to use for the season that must be returned at the end of the season.  The team primary colors are Red, White, and Blue.
3.  Each night will include running and general conditioning to help athletes prepare for races each week.  Running/Conditioning could include distance runs, interval training, relay games, hills, core, and other activities.  Athletes should also expect to do event specific training for throwing and jumping.
4.  Each practice will end with stretching as a team. 

Practice Schedule (will be added as available) and will occur twice each week normally at FSK HS.

Meets
1.  Usually held on Sundays.  More information to be posted as available.  
2.  Meets are optional (but highly encouraged) and require an additional fee to timer which is not included in registration fee.  We expect approximately 6-8 meets throughout the season.  Schedule will released when available.
3.  Team uniform required at each meet and provided by club to be returned at the end of the season.
4.  Meet Information (including times and awards) will vary from meet to meet.  See individual Meet Information as it is posted.
5.  Typical Events at Meets available:  100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m, Hurdles (select meets), Shotput, Discus (select meets), Turbo Javelin (select Meets), Long Jump, High Jump, Relays (select Meets)

COACHES/VOLUNTEERS

FSK Jr. Eagles Running is a volunteer organization, and we invite you to support our efforts. Help is always needed in coaching, program support and fund-raising. If you are interested in volunteering to support the program or team please let us know!!!! 

MEDICAL INSURANCE

Program participants are required to carry their own medical insurance. If school age participants do not have insurance, accident coverage can be purchased through the Carroll County Public Schools Board of Education sponsored plan K12 Voluntary Student Accident. Contact the plan administrator at 1-855-742-3135 for more information or to purchase coverage.
